What do religion, communism, space travel, extraterrestrials, life extension technology and nuclear apocalypse have in common? As unlikely as it may seem at first glance, each is a dimension of a long gestated plan to gradually replace biological human beings with first, technologically enhanced transhumans, then, artificially engineered post-humans, before a proposed final stage where what was once humanity exists only as rapidly fading memories in a virtual reality void.
