(Stream / download audio at bottom of page)

Delving into the deep, dark and mysterious undertones hidden in blockbusters and cult classics alike, Esoteric Hollywood explores philosophy, religion, symbolism and geopolitics, and their connections to film. We probe the prevalence of cinematic propaganda and predictive programming in promoting an ignorant, apathetic, dumbed-down generation of compliant consumers concerned only with instant gratification, unable and unwilling to challenge authority or subvert the status quo. We break down some of our own personal film favourites and ask whether, in an era dominated by gaming and social media, movies are less influential on the youth of today than they were in the past.

We also reveal Hollywood’s covert links to the CIA, how the border between fantasy and reality continues to blur, and the history of profound truths being hidden in plain sight on the silver screen. And from the dystopian sci fi and gritty, hard-boiled thrillers prevalent in the 1970s to the airbrushed, CGI-infested aberrations of today, we examine the extent to which movie makers are, unwittingly or otherwise, laying before our very eyes a real-world future which draws closer frame by frame.

Thomas Sheridan – The Druid Code: Magic, Megaliths and Mythology Part Two

November 12, 2016

Thomas Sheridan 5

Thomas Sheridan discusses his book The Druid Code: Magic, Megaliths and Mythology. The Druid Code sets out to examine the wider concept of magic and mythology being utilised as an early form of social psychoanalysis by the druids, how magic theory developed from this, and how this evolution of ritual magic eventually made its way into folklore, witchcraft and Freemasonry. The Druid Code utilises mythology connected to sacred sites, developing a bidirectional conduit back through time, to reveal what took place in 2500BC – a shift in human consciousness that made humans what we are today. From Atlantis to alchemy, you will never see history in the same way again.

Patrick Lepetit – The Esoteric Secrets of Surrealism

October 10, 2014

Patrick Lepetit

Patrick Lepetit discusses his book The Esoteric Secrets of Surrealism – Origins, Magic and Secret Societies. Not merely an artistic or literary movement as many believe, the surrealists rejected the labels of artist and author bestowed upon them by outsiders, accepting instead the titles of magician, alchemist or witch. Their paintings, poems, and other works were created to seek out unexplored regions of the mind and recover lost psychic and magical powers. They used creative expression as the vehicle to attain what André Breton called the ‘supreme point’, the point at which all opposites cease to be perceived as contradictions. This supreme point is found at the heart of all esoteric doctrines and enables communication with higher states of being.

Robert Howells – The Last Pope and the Fall of the Vatican

November 30, 2013

ROBERT HOWELLS

Robert Howells discusses his book The Last Pope – Francis and the Fall of the Vatican. Nearly a thousand years ago the Archbishop of Armagh, later canonised as St Malachy, made a series of prophecies that were hidden in the Vatican for 400 years. His predictions gave clues to the identities of the 109 Popes from medieval times to the present day, including the final Pope who would oversee the end of the Papacy and the fall of the Roman Catholic Church. The Last Pope examines the sudden ‘rediscovery’ of these prophecies in the 16th century and how they may have been used as propaganda in the campaign to promote Pope Gregory XIV to the papal throne.
