Phil Escott and I ask ‘What is awakening?’

(Stream / download audio at bottom of page)

From the New Age movement to the 2012 phenomenon, and across the spectrum of belief that is contemporary spirituality, in recent decades there has been a lot of talk about awakening. But just what is it, and how do you get there? Exploring Eastern mysticism? Meditating on a mountaintop? Becoming a hermit, hiding in the woods? It could be any or all of these, and also none. What if awakening is nothing like you’ve been led to believe? Like the ordeal of transformation through trauma, awakening can be difficult, unexpected, and at first, even unrecognised. Although sometimes sudden, it can also be slow, and often more subtle than expected. It may even take place at the moment of your death, but it is always incomplete. Typical traits such as the dissolution of desire and the death of ego may not transpire, and the hoped-for end of human faults and frailties may be an illusion.

In the quest for an answer, the mystery only deepens, and the esoteric elements of all this will, for the time being, likely remain meaningless and irrelevant to most. We remain prisoners to fear and resistance, unwilling to grasp the vast totality of that which is always there. But in the end, whatever the truth, should such a thing exist, the fact that you are a sense organ of the infinite and that the Universe is waking up through you, remains undimmed.

Jay Dyer – Esoteric Hollywood: Sex, Cults and Symbols in Film Part Two

April 12, 2017

Jay Two

Jay Dyer discusses his book Esoteric Hollywood – Sex, Cults and Symbols in Film. Delving into the deep, dark and mysterious undertones hidden in blockbusters and cult classics alike, Esoteric Hollywood explores philosophy, religion, symbolism and geopolitics, and their connections to film. We probe the prevalence of cinematic propaganda and predictive programming in promoting an ignorant, apathetic, dumbed-down generation of compliant consumers concerned only with instant gratification, unable and unwilling to challenge authority or subvert the status quo. We break down some of our own personal film favourites and ask whether, in an era dominated by gaming and social media, movies are less influential on the youth of today than they were in the past.

Colin E. Davis & Melissa Mari – Cracking the Codes of Cosmic Darkness: Part Two

April 16, 2016

SHADOW TECH 1

Colin E. Davis and Melissa Mari discuss their book Shadow Tech – Cracking the Codes of Personal and Collective Darkness. In the follow-up to our first interview we further discuss the nature of evil as a non-local force communicable across the energetic field which exists between individuals, groups, and entire species. It is the shadow side of the human psyche known down the ages as demons, evil spirits, and possession, amongst other things. It is viral and parasitic in nature, operating within the biological computer, the hardware of the body, and the software of the mind. Human culture, therefore, is like a computer network, and deep within it politics, economics, the media, and every tentacle of our tremulous civilization twists and tortures our subconscious. We are, however, not completely helpless. In acknowledging what ails us and summoning the courage to confront it, we have at least a chance of cutting out this cancer before it kills the host.

Scott Alan Roberts – The Secret History of the Reptilians

August 16, 2014

Scott Alan Roberts

Scott Alan Roberts discusses his book The Secret History of the Reptilians: The Pervasive Presence of the Serpent in Human History, Religion and Alien Mythos. The very real probability that non-human intelligences visited and even copulated with primordial humans is detailed in civilization’s most ancient cultural and religious records. These historical records further reveal that these intelligences were reptilian in nature or, at the very least, have been represented throughout human history in reptilian form. From the serpent Nachash in the Garden of Eden, Atum the Egyptian snake-man, and Quetzalcotl, the feathered serpent god of the Mayans, to the double-helix snake symbol of Enki in ancient Sumerian literature, the serpent has been the omnipresent link between humans and the gods in every culture.
